It’s Father’s Day again, so come on meet up with dear old dad or the father figure in your life and watch some horror. Dad will love watching these horror movies on Father’s Day and so will you.
10 – Pet Sematary (1989)
How far would a father go to avenge the death of his young kid if the boy was killed in a horrible accident? What if there were ancient burial places in the area that were capable of resurrecting him? What kind of father wouldn’t at least make an effort to assist their child? However, at what expense? Who or what will the toddler become when they grow up? When Stephen King is the author of a narrative, I always know that it won’t have a happy ending, no matter what! 9 – Eyes Without A Face (1960)
Because of the terrible injuries she sustained in a car accident, a young girl is compelled to always hide her face behind a mask. Her father, who is a nefarious doctor, is currently attempting to alter her appearance. The doctor and his helper abduct young girls, perform plastic surgery to remove their faces, and then transplant them onto the doctor’s daughter so that she seems to have a new face. His daughter does not feel very content with the circumstances and decides to take matters into her own hands.
8 – Creepshow (1982)
“Father’s Day,” which is Stephen King’s contribution to the anthology Creepshow, is the title of the author’s first chapter. In a moment of fury, a lady who is caring for her abusive elderly father shoots him while simultaneously yelling “Happy father’s Day!” to the witnesses. But Dad hasn’t changed his mind about the cake all these years later, and he could even rise from the grave to get it.
7 – The Night of the Hunter (1955)
Robert Mitchum plays the role of a corrupt minister and con artist who would do whatever, even breaking the law, in order to recover the money that was stolen by his cellmate. He discovers the location of the man’s family and uses his charm to persuade the woman to marry him so that he may steal the money from the family while living in closer proximity to them. The youngsters are aware of the location of the money, but they will not divulge this information to anyone!
6 – The Woman (2011)
Chris gives the impression to the outside world that he is the ideal parent and businessman; nevertheless, his family is aware of all of his horrific secrets. When he discovers a wild lady, he locks her in the shed and proceeds to torment her. After that, he instructs his kid in every one of his nefarious methods and encourages him to follow in his footsteps.
5 – Amityville Horror (1979)
They move into what they believe to be their perfect home, but the house has other intentions for the young family, and they barely escape with their lives. James Brolin and Margot Kidder. If you come across a home that appears to be too wonderful to be true, it is imperative that you investigate its past immediately; else, your father may develop psychotic tendencies.
4 – The People Under the Stairs (1991)
While Daddy and Mommy reside in a very magnificent home, their renters are forced to make do in slum-like conditions. Following Daddy and Mommy’s attempts to kick families out of their slum buildings, some of the residents make an attempt to burglarize the mansion in order to take the gold that is concealed behind the walls. What the burglars actually wind up discovering is something that is rather disturbing.
3 – Frailty (2001)
Frailty, starring Bill Paxton and Matthew MacConaughey, is one of the psychological thrillers that I enjoy seeing the most. The Father asserts that he can see demons anytime he comes into contact with a wicked individual, and he is certain that he is cleansing the world of its wickedness. After that, he recruits the assistance of his young boys in the murder and dismemberment of the victims.
2 – The Stepfather (1987)
In the role of The Stepfather, Lost’s Terry O’Quinn, who plays John Locke, is wonderfully menacing. He weds a widower, but her daughter, played by Jill Schoelen from Popcorn and Cutting Class, harbours deep misgivings about her new stepfather. She investigates his history and discovers some mysteries about him that are really upsetting. Additionally, it is recommended that you check out the sequels.
