Smile, a horror film written and directed by Parker Finn, premiered in theaters on the last day of September thanks to Paramount Players and will finally be available on home video on Tuesday, November 15th. On that day, the film will be made available for digital purchase and streaming via the Paramount+ service in the United States and Canada. Within the year 2023, Smile will be released in the majority of Paramount+ territories outside the United States.
Smile was conceived as a response to Laura Hasn’t Slept, a short film directed by Finn. In the SXSW Midnight Shorts competition, Laura was awarded the Special Jury Recognition Prize. The promotional materials for Smile give the impression that Caitlin Stasey, who played the lead character in the earlier short film, will return to the role, although for a limited amount of time, in the new feature.
