The two-hour TUBI special ‘Suburban Nightmare: Chris Watts’ explores the shocking true story of Shannan and her two daughter’s disappearance and takes us through an exploration of the case and a comprehensive look into Shannan’s social media accounts and personal texts messages leading up to the murder.
Here the viewer will have the opportunity to see that the picture-perfect family life Shannan posted about on social media was not as picturesque in real life. Including examining the fact’s surrounding the case that Chris had begun an affair with another woman weeks prior while Shannan was staying with her parents in North Carolina.
‘Suburban Nightmare: Chris Watts’ allows viewers to follow the investigation from start to finish, from the original bodycam footage recorded by the officers that arrived at the Watt’s residence that fateful day, after they received a call from Shannan’s friend, Nickole Atkinson, who suspected something was wrong after failing to hear from Shannan all morning. The footage recorded on a next-door neighbor’s camera of Chris suspiciously leaving his home in the early hours of the morning, all the way through to the integration room.
