The first film from Dario Argento in ten years ‘Dark Glasses’ will screen at the Berlin International Film Festival

The film will be screened for the first time at the 72nd Berlin International Film Festival on February 10th through the 20th. The film is entitled Dark Glasses, and it has been announced that the film will have its world premiere there.

Diana, a young woman who lost her sight, finds a guide in a Chinese boy named Chin. Together they will track down a dangerous killer through the darkness of Italy.

Synopsis

Three prostitutes in Rome have been strangled with cello rope by a serial killer. Diana, a luxury escort who frequents the hotels of Via Veneto, will be the recipient of “The Cellist’s” last rope. She is being chased by a maniac driving a van when he rams her, sending her into another vehicle. The hospital is pitch black when she awakens. The accident has taken her sight. Diana is helped by Rita, a young member of the Blind Society, in her first steps into the darkness and in her new life. The police investigate the case unsuccessfully. But the investigation doesn’t end there. Now the Cellist needs to complete his work. In the end, Diana can only try to escape with the help of Chin, a Chinese orphan. This is only the beginning of the cat-and-mouse game.
