During a skiing accident in France yesterday, Gaspard Ulliel died. The actor was 37 years old.
A ski accident in the Savoie region’s Rosiere ski area sent Ulliel to the hospital on Tuesday, according to the Savoie prosecutor’s office. According to his agent, Ulliel passed away on Wednesday.
According to local broadcaster France Bleu, Ulliel was hospitalized with a skull injury after colliding with another skier at a slope crossing point. According to France Bleu, the other skier did not need to be hospitalized. Prosecutors and police declined to comment on the incident in detail.
Perhaps Ulliel’s most notable role in the US was that of Hannibal Lecter in Hannibal Rising, his English-language debut. Additionally, he will play Anton Mogart aka Midnight Man in Disney+’s upcoming Moon Knight series opposite Oscar Isaac.
