His family released a statement honoring his exceptional life and contributions to film, television, sports, and the arts.
With a career spanning over 70 films and television shows, Carl Weathers made a lasting impact on audiences worldwide. From his iconic portrayal of Apollo Creed in the “Rocky” franchise to his co-starring role in “Predator,” Weathers captivated audiences with his talent and charisma. His filmography also includes memorable roles in “Close Encounters of the Third Kind,” “Action Jackson,” “Happy Gilmore,” and “Toy Story 4.”
