The new thriller ‘The Lookout’ is coming to theaters and on demand on May 19th. Written and directed by Joe Lo Truglio, the film stars Beth Dover, Ato Essandoh, Dylan Baker, Becky Ann Baker, Dallas Roberts, Ta’Rea Campbell, Tim Neff, and D.R. Anderson.
‘The Lookout’ follows a woman named Kelly who is struggling with PTSD after escaping an abusive relationship. Seeking solace and healing, she takes a job as a fire lookout in the remote mountains of northern Idaho. However, her trauma and isolation end up threatening not just herself but also the nearby town. Kelly must fight to overcome her deepest fears and save herself and the townspeople.
The film is being distributed by Gravitas Ventures. The official trailer and poster have been released to build anticipation for the psychological thriller. Director Joe Lo Truglio, best known for comedic acting roles, shows off his talent behind the camera with this chilling and suspenseful film.
Lead actress Beth Dover, who appeared in ‘Orange is the New Black,’ delivers a compelling performance as Kelly, a woman pushed to the edge of her limits. Ato Essandoh, from ‘Jason Bourne’ and ‘Django Unchained,’ also stars as one of the few people aware of Kelly’s precarious situation.
