Drop Dead Films Ltd recently completed principal photography on their latest horror film ‘Charlie Shaw’s Revenge.’ To celebrate, the Eastbourne-based film company released the first official image of the character Otto the Clown, played by James Payton (‘Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,’ ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’).
Intriguing Cast and Upcoming Film Details Teased
As we previously reported in our initial article, Director John Langridge gathered an intriguing cast for the film, including names like Shahla Ayamah (Justice League), Mark Benton (‘Shakespeare & Hathaway’), and Bill Fellows (‘Coronation Street’). The plot of the upcoming film is still being kept under wraps, but Otto the Clown and the title character Charlie Shaw, played by Payton, will play key roles in the story.
Langridge said of the cast, “I’m delighted that we’ve been able to bring in some real stars of film and television to work alongside some fresh and exciting new talent who we’ve been able to cast in some fabulous and challenging roles.” The horror film was filmed on location in Hailsham, UK using Knockhatch Adventure Park and the East Sussex School of Circus Arts. Langridge aimed to provide opportunities for students and new actors to gain experience on set.

Promotion at Cannes Film Festival and More
Director John Langridge and Producer Justin Hayward will be promoting the recently completed film at the Cannes Film Festival this week, along with unveiling their plans for additional media surrounding the film and Drop Dead Films’ upcoming projects. Producer Renato Pires said, “‘Having Drop Dead Films here will provide a great showcase for the School and its talented teachers and students. It’s an amazing opportunity to showcase the awe-inspiring acrobatic skills that our circus-trained professionals have, so it’s going to be great.”
