Where can You Watch HISTORY OF EVIL? Its coming to Shudder

According to Deadline, a new horror/thriller film called History of Evil will begin filming this spring and will air as a Shudder Original. There hasn’t been a release date set yet.

The film is set in the near future, according to the synopsis. It will follow a family who is fleeing from a corrupt government. They spend their time in hiding at a safe house with a bad reputation.

Bo Mirhosseni, who also authored the screenplay, will direct the picture. The film’s producer will be Jake Siegel. XYZ Films and Two & Two Pictures will co-produce History of Evil. The two production organisations previously collaborated on Babak Anvari’s 2016 feature Under the Shadow and the upcoming Netflix film I Came By (also directed by Anvari). The film is also part of a deal between the two studios to produce films by directors from underrepresented groups in the business.

The film will be available on Shudder, AMC’s streaming service. “As we continue to spotlight new and emerging storytellers within this genre, we are excited to be partnering with XYZ and Two & Two Pictures, and Bo’s exhilarating feature debut is no exception,” said Emily Gotto (Shudder’s VP of Global Acquisitions and Co-Productions). “We’re thrilled to have Stephanie and Paul on board to bring these vibrant characters to life, and we can’t wait to show the film to Shudder members.”
