Dance Macabre and MVD Entertainment are thrilled to announce the release of THE QUARRY (also known as En El Pozo) in the United States and Canada on April 5, 2022, on DVD and VOD platforms. A girl who returns to her hometown to reveal her new lover to friends and family is the subject of this dramatic, edge-of-your-seat thriller starring Augusto Gordillo and Paula Silva, which is set in the Philippines. After a series of jealousies are exposed and relationships are destroyed, an otherwise idyllic picnic in the countryside quickly turns deadly.
After its world premiere at Brooklyn Horror Fest, Gordillo won Best Actor in the Sitges, BIFAN, FrightFest and Fantaspoa film festivals, where Gordillo was also nominated for Best Actor. Other honours include the Gramado Film Festival’s Best Screenplay and Best Cinematography prizes, the Punto Del Este Audience Award, the Salto Award for Best Film, and the Macabro Award for Special Mention of the Jury. Urugyuan Film Critics Association named Silva the Best Actress Award winner for 2011.
THE QUARRY is available on DVD from many retailers, including Amazon, Walmart, and Deep Discount. Amazon will also offer the picture for streaming and download, in addition to its theatrical release.
