Talk To Me: A Chilling Supernatural Thriller from A24 and Causeway Films

Delving into the forces beyond our understanding and tampering with the unknown can lead to unforeseen and dire consequences. This is a theme that the upcoming supernatural horror film, Talk To Me, expertly explores. Produced by the renowned A24 studio, the film has already generated significant buzz and praise after its premiere at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival. As the first official trailer was released earlier this week, anticipation is building for its theatrical release on July 28.

Talk To Me is the creation of twin brother directors Danny and Michael Philippou, who collaborated on the screenplay with writer Bill Hinzman. The film is brought to life by acclaimed producers Kristina Ceyton and Samantha Jennings of Causeway Films, the team behind the critically-acclaimed horror film The Babadook.

The story follows the harrowing journey of teenager Mia, portrayed by the talented young actress Sophia Wilde, as she grapples with the anniversary of her mother’s tragic passing. In search of distraction and excitement, Mia and her friends conduct a séance using a mysterious embalmed hand that is said to allow communication with spirits in the afterlife. However, they soon come to the terrifying realization that they have unleashed an evil force beyond their control.

As the line between the living and the dead begins to crumble, Mia finds herself tormented by disturbing visions and supernatural occurrences.  Desperate to undo the damage she has caused, she races against time to prevent the malevolent spirits from claiming more victims. The film features a stellar supporting cast, including Joe Bird (Rabbit), Alexandra Jensen (Frayed), Otis Dhanji (Aquaman), and renowned actress Miranda Otto, known for her role in The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

With its unsettling blend of the supernatural and the real, Talk To Me is poised to join the ranks of groundbreaking horror films such as Hereditary and Midsommar. Combining a thought-provoking story, a talented ensemble cast, and the skilled direction of the Philippou brothers, Talk To Me promises to leave a lasting impression on horror fans when it hits theaters.

The film serves as a chilling reminder that tampering with forces we do not fully understand can lead to unimaginable and terrifying consequences, check out the trailer below.
