Mia Goth Facing Lawsuit for Allegedly Kicking MaXXXine Background Actor

Mia Goth, acclaimed actress known for her role in Ti West’s X, is currently entangled in a legal dispute. James Hunter, a background actor on the set of MaXXXine, has accused Goth of intentionally kicking him in the head during filming. The lawsuit, recently filed, sheds light on the incident and its aftermath.

Hunter, hired for a three-day stint as the Dead Parishioner character, found himself lying on the ground covered in fake blood for an entire night. As part of the scene, Goth was required to run past him. However, according to Hunter’s lawsuit, on the fourth take, she nearly stepped on him. Despite his complaint, on the very next take, Hunter claims that Goth deliberately kicked him in the head with her boot. The lawsuit further alleges that after the shoot, Goth confronted Hunter in the bathroom, taunting and belittling him, daring him to take action.

Following the incident, Hunter experienced lightheadedness while driving home, prompting him to pull over twice. The next day, he was informed that he would no longer be required for the remaining two days of filming. The lawsuit accuses Mia Goth of battery, with a wrongful termination claim directed at A24, Goth, and director Ti West.

Goth played the dual role of Maxine Minx/Pearl in Ti West’s X and reprised her role as Pearl for the prequel movie, MaXXXine. West himself has praised Goth’s performance, stating that she should have received an Oscar nomination. The film follows Maxine’s journey towards fame as she pursues an acting career in 1980s Los Angeles. Alongside Goth, the star-studded cast includes Elizabeth Debicki, Michelle Monaghan, Bobby Cannavale, Lily Collins, Halsey, Moses Sumney, Giancarlo Esposito, and Kevin Bacon

The lawsuit against Mia Goth for allegedly kicking a background actor in the head on the set of MaXXXine has thrust the actress into legal turmoil. As the case unfolds, the consequences for both Goth and the production company remain uncertain.
