It has recently come to light that in honor of Halloween of this year, Regal will release Dawn of the Dead in theatres around the country. The film has been shown in a variety of locations before it was re-edited and re-released in theatres with the 3D treatment that was overseen by the director of the original production, Richard R. Rubinstein. Romero would later direct a sequel to the picture, titled Day of the Dead, which was released in 1985.
