V/H/S tape number four will be coming out this October, and we are very excited.
In the near future, V/H/S will release its fourth installment. If we weren’t already stoked, the trailer for V/H/S/94 showed off plenty of fun.
“After the discovery of a mysterious VHS tape, a brutish police swat team launch a high-intensity raid on a remote warehouse, only to discover a sinister cult compound whose collection of pre-recorded material uncovers a nightmarish conspiracy.“
This trailer displays the lo-fi aesthetic that we are so fond of in found footage. In a static-filled scene, everything is seen through a grainy lens, like a video tape discovered under a bed or perhaps in a trash can.
V/H/S is the franchise that debuted with V/H/S in 2012, an anthology horror movie curated by Adam Wingard, David Bruckner, Ti West, Glenn McQuaid, Joe Swanberg, as well as the filmmaker collective Radio Silence. Genre filmmakers have been able to demonstrate their creativity through these films. As a result, recent horror films have been some of the most horrifying I can remember.
