“Round the Decay” Trailer Promises a Fresh Take on Folk Horror

Horror fans, get ready for a monstrous treat this Halloween season! The official trailer for “Round the Decay” has dropped, teasing a unique blend of folk horror, psychological thrills, and good old-fashioned monster mayhem.

Written and directed by Adam Newman (“Everwinter Night”), “Round the Decay” follows a young woman’s return to the eerie town of Newport’s Valley, where she uncovers a terrifying secret two years after a devastating tragedy. Newman promises a film with “a lot of heart and a lot of character” that doesn’t skimp on scares or gore.

The trailer showcases an impressive practical monster design by Greg McDougall, known for his work on “The Haunting of Hill House” and “Stranger Things.” This creature feature boasts an intriguing tagline: “Only monsters can kill monsters.”

The cast is led by Victoria Mirrer and includes familiar faces like Damian Maffei (“The Strangers: Prey At Night”), Sienna Hubert-Ross (“Terrifier 3”), and Roger Clark (“Red Dead Redemption II”).
