MaXXXine UK Release Brought Forward to Match US Date

Great news for British horror fans – the highly anticipated MaXXXine, the latest film from director Ti West, will now hit UK theaters on July 5th, 2024. This newly moved up release date aligns with the film’s US debut, allowing audiences on both sides of the Atlantic to experience it simultaneously.

Previously, the UK had been set to receive MaXXXine on August 9th, 2024, over a month after the planned July 5th US premiere. But this change eliminates that delay for British moviegoers.

MaXXXine serves as the third installment in West’s horror trilogy, following X and Pearl. Mia Goth reprises her role as Maxine Minx, the aspiring actress whose pursuit of stardom took a violent turn in the previous films. Set in 1985 Los Angeles, the new movie picks up six years after the events of X.

In addition to Goth, the cast includes acclaimed actors like Kevin Bacon, Michelle Monaghan, Lilly Collins, and Giancarlo Esposito, as well as musician Halsey in her acting debut.

While billed as potentially wrapping up the trilogy, West has teased having an idea for a fourth installment, leaving the door open for more tales centered around Goth’s character.

With this updated release strategy, horror fans in the UK can now look forward to experiencing MaXXXine’s sinister story at the same time as the US audience.
