Tiffany Valentine’s Chucky narrative will be continued. Jennifer Tilly has signed a deal to return for Season 2 of the USA Network/Syfy series, which is being produced by Don Mancini, the creator/writer of the movie franchise. The second season of the series is set to launch in the autumn on the two NBCUniversal cable networks, possibly in keeping with the horror title’s pre-Halloween tradition. All this according to Deadline.
Chucky was a ratings success for NBCU, with 11.6 million viewers across all platforms in its debut season.
Tilly originally agreed to reprise her role as Tiffany Valentine from the films in many episodes of the first season in order to help the show build on the film franchise’s heritage. Tiffany’s new contract will keep her on the programme beyond the Season 1 finale cliffhanger.
Jennifer Tilly originally featured in Bride of Chucky (1998) as Tiffany Valentine, then revisiting the character in Seed of Chucky (2004), Curse of Chucky (2013), and Cult of Chucky (2017) before returning to the Chucky TV series.
The original Child’s Play, directed by Tom Holland from a script he co-wrote with Mancini and John Lafia in 1988, produced six sequels, a 2019 revival, comic books, computer games, and a slew of souvenirs.
Jennifer Ellen Chan was born in Harbor City, Los Angeles, to Harry Chan, a Chinese-American used car dealer, and Patricia (née Tilly), a schoolteacher and stage actor. Meg Tilly, an actress, is her sister. Her mother and stepfather, John Ward, reared them on Texada Island, British Columbia.
