The Lambert family’s adventures in the shadowy astral realm known as The Further are going to be continued in the upcoming film, which will pick up where the book left off.

Insidious was initially published in 2010 and was directed by James Wan. Leigh Whannell was responsible for writing the film’s screenplay. The plot of the movie centered on a family whose son went into a coma and became a vessel for entities from The Further after the family tragedy that befell them.
