Courtney Cox says that Wes Craven would be proud of the new Scream 5 movie

In a recent Instagram post Cox writes that Wes Craven would be very proud of the new work and all the effort that went into creating the new Scream movie. This post comes as the filming for Scream 5 has wrapped up and is now completed.

Scream just wrapped. This all started 25 years ago directed by the beloved Wes Craven. Walking back on the set 25 years later, I wasn’t sure what to expect. What I found was an incredible new cast and two uber-talented directors. I’m sure Wes will be so proud. Thank you @kevwilliamson for creating this legacy.

In recent news we learned that the new Scream 5 movie is a direct sequel to the original scream and not a remake. the Blockbuster film Scream 5 is set to hit January 14th 2022.

Neve Campbell will return to the film at Sidney Prescott in Scream With Courteney Cox David Arquette and Marley Shelton.
