Clay Epstein’s Film Mode Entertainment and Luke Sparke’s Sparke Films announce their brand-new genre-raising horror film, ‘Scurry’, starring Barry Pepper.
In ‘Scurry’, Pepper (Saving Private Ryan, The Green Mile) will take on the lead role of a “family man with everything to live for” who, after finding his city is under attack by a “monstrous threat” seeks refugee underground.
Here, he meets a “criminal with nothing to lose.”
Soon the two men “find themselves trapped below ground during the chaos. Badly injured and with limited resources, they must navigate a treacherous, narrowing tunnel in hopes of finding an exit before they bleed out. Fear and desperation consume them as the threat closes in, and they soon discover they have more to fear than each other.”
Pepper is the only name so far attached to appear in the film, but further casting announcements are expected to come.
‘Scurry’ will be directed by Luke Sparke (Occupation, Occupation Rainfall).
Carmel Imrie, Carly Sparke, and Luke Sparke will produce the film, along with Co-Producers, Zac Garred and Alex Becconsall.
“As huge horror/thriller fans it is fantastic to be able to step into the genre with Scurry. This elevated horror film is sure to terrify and have the audiences on the edge of their seat when they watch,” said producers Carly Sparke and Carmel Imrie.
Sparke will also serve as an executive producer on the film along with Clay Epstein and Geoff Imrie.
“We’re thrilled to be working with Luke and the Sparke Films team on yet another stellar feature film that raises the genre bar as well as the project’s commercial viability around the world,” said Epstein.
Film Mode and Sparke Films are both coming off the global success of the Occupation Rainfall franchise, which is currently working on its next installment in the franchise: ‘Occupation Rainfall: Chapter 2’.
‘Scurry’ is set to thrill international and global audiences alike.
As more information on ‘Scurry’ becomes available Horror Facts will be sure to report it.
