Archive 81, which will be released on Netflix on Jan. 14, has a new trailer.
It began with Sadako and the VHS tape, which you would die if you watched it in The Ring. V/H/S, a found-footage horror anthology from 2013, was followed by three sequels. With the premiere of Archive 81, Netflix will let you delve into the mind of a man who is going insane over a series of videos.
The film deals with cults, insanity, demons in the ventilation, and a woman who may have been imprisoned for 25 years by very bad people. If you’re a horror fan, there’s plenty to enjoy.
In the shows trailer, you can see two timelines connected by videotapes through two split timelines. It centers on two characters who suddenly find themselves in the middle of a dangerous investigation involving the Visser building’s dark secrets.
It follows archivist Dan Turner, who takes a job restoring a collection of damaged videotapes from 1994
Netflix will release eight hour-long episodes of Archive 81 on January 14. Among its producers are James Wan, whose previous films include The Conjuring and Malignant. The series stars Dina Shihabi as Melody and Mamoudou Athie as archivist Dan Turner.
