“ALONE IN THE DARK” Coming to TUBI in October

According to a story that was published on Deadline, a brand new horror movie titled Alone in the Dark that focuses on the dangers of being at home by oneself will debut on Tubi in the month of October. Keep an eye out for the official release date.

After being purchased by Fox Corporation in 2020, Tubi has begun to increase its output of original content, which includes the series “Alone in the Dark.” As a result of the consistently increasing number of users, the streaming service announced in May at its presentation at NewFronts that it intended to add one hundred new film and television titles over the course of the following year.

Novi Brown (Sistas), Terrell Carter (Empire), Christopher Bencomo (The Rookie), and Malcolm Goodwin star in the movie, which was directed by Brant Daugherty and based on a screenplay that he co-wrote with his wife Kimberly (who also makes an appearance in the film) (iZombie).

The protagonist of the movie is Bri Collins (Brown), a recently divorced woman who is placed under house arrest due to the criminal activities of her ex-husband. According to the synopsis, when she starts to have the feeling that she is being followed in her own home, she decides to employ Xavier Johnson (Carter), a personal bodyguard, to defend her from her unknown stalker and uncover his identity. “As the pandemonium ensues, Xavier and Bri develop affections for one another,” the story says. This is because of their shared motivation to find out the truth.

Alongside Marianne C. Wunch, Larry Grimaldi, Hannah Pillemer, Fernando Szew, and David Sweeney, Brant and Kimberly Daugherty also serve as executive producers for the show.
