Spectro, a one-shot from AfterShock Comics, is the idea of artist Juan Doe and will be released on May 18, according to CBR. The cover and interior art on this page are very interesting. The work on this new title will be handled exclusively by veteran artist Doe, whose credits include American Monster, Animosity: The Rise, and Marvel Comics covers. It will cost $7.99 for the 48-page Spectro one-shot.
As Doe’s version of the classic horror anthology, Spectro is inspired by EC Comics’ iconic Weird Comics title. This one-shot will focus on “fear of social failure and its consequences,” Doe said. “The fear of not being recognized, appreciated or seen. The fear of success…the fear of hope.”
AfterShock announced today that Doe is taking on the creative duties for Spectro, a horror game with a sci-fi twist that releases May 18.
In SPECTRO, one of comics’ greatest talents shares horror tales from deep within the recesses of his mind!
