Screen Media has acquired worldwide distribution rights to “Jeepers Creepers: Reborn,” the fourth installment in the long-running horror franchise.
Victor Salva was not involved in this project due to a number of factors, including his disinterest in continuing with the franchise following Jeepers Creepers 3 (2017), which had major changes to the script and budget readjustments, as well as poor critical and box office reception. Salva rejects the idea of re-directing any Jeepers Creepers film because he wants to create new material. He even turned down the realization of a series of the franchise due to his bad reputation in the film industry after his past as a sex offender.
Production in Louisiana was hampered by Hurricane Delta, which left production without power for a day, and by several signs indicating not to pick up passengers near a nearby prison, which the technical team was staying near.
There had to be a new creeper truck built for this film since the two original trucks (used for 2001 and 2018 Jeepers Creepers) were in the United States while the majority of the shooting took place in London (the United Kingdom). Transferring these trucks would have been expensive, and since original trucks are collectible by their owners, the script deserved one that looked more worn and damaged.
In the fall of 2021, the movie will be released in North America. This is Screen Media’s second movie starring Jeepers Creepers.
Chase and Laine attend the Horror Hound festival where Laine begins experiencing visions and premonitions related to The Creeper and the town’s history. Laine starts to believe something unearthly has been summoned for the first time since 23 years, and that she is in the center of it as the festival begins and blood-soaked entertainment erupts.
