The filming of Evil Dead Rise began just last month, and director Lee Cronin announced today that it had reached the halfway mark.
Cronin writes on Twitter, “6 weeks. 100 rolls. 597 slates. We are halfway.”

This new movie stars Gabrielle Echols, Morgan Davies, Nell Fisher, and Lily Sullivan and Alyssa Sutherland.
According to Variety, “The next chapter in the saga builds off the original trilogy, rather than the 2013 reboot. “
The production of the film was developed by Sam Raimi, Bruce Campbell and Robert Tapert. Campbell observed that the three were “very involved” throughout the whole project.
