Besides sharing the film’s release date, Paramount+ also shared a haunting new trailer.
It was announced earlier this week that Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin will be exclusive to Paramount+ on Friday, October 29.
In contrast to the most recent film in the franchise, Next of Kin is not a sequel. In reality, it is a reboot, which changes the focus of the series. There is a possibility that Toby will not longer haunt our dreams. There is still a lot of secrecy surrounding the plot. The trailer is the only information we have so far regarding what to expect from the film.
Alongside Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin, Paramount+ will release a documentary about the franchise’s creation.
The reboot has been in the works for a long time. Paramount and Blumhouse announced their involvement in the project in 2019. Pandemic delays caused a delay in the original release date of March 2021.
ViacomCBS Streaming President Tanya Ghailes said this about the film:
“A new Paranormal Activity from Paramount Players should bring fans an unexpected reimagining of the beloved horror franchise — We’ll also be launching a documentary on the making of the Paranormal Activity feature. Both of which will be coming to the service in time for Halloween.”
