Deadline has confirmed that Emma Roberts, a series regular, will be joined by reality star, entrepreneur, and pop culture icon Kim Kardashian in leading the cast.
Kardashian’s role has been meticulously crafted for her by the season’s sole writer and showrunner, Halley Feiffer. American Horror Story, created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, is an anthology series, with each season functioning as a self-contained miniseries. The show delves into various characters and settings within the same fictional universe, with each season offering a distinct storyline.
Murphy, expressing his excitement about Kardashian’s involvement in the project, stated, “Kim is among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world, and we are thrilled to welcome her to the AHS family. Danielle Valentine’s novel, Delicate Condition, is slated for release in August, published by Sourcebooks Landmark. The enthralling thriller narrates the story of a woman who becomes increasingly convinced that a sinister figure is determined to prevent her pregnancy at all costs.
American Horror Story: Delicate, or Season 12, is executive produced by Murphy, Falchuk, and Feiffer, in collaboration with Alexis Martin Woodall and Scott Robertson. Filming is scheduled to commence in New York City later this month, with the season anticipated to premiere on FX this summer.
