The film screened at the Midnighters section of the SXSW Film Festival to critical acclaim earlier this year, and was described by critics as a “scathing modern folk-horror.”.
An epic tale set in a remote house in the Welsh mountains and entirely in Welsh, THE FEAST concerns a mysterious young woman who arrives to serve wealthy guests at a dinner party. As they take part in the last supper, the privileged guests are not aware that it is their last meal.
A fable about greed, class, and privilege, THE FEAST is sure to be horrifyingly compelling. While shooting the film in the stunning Welsh countryside, the message of eco-horror is allowed to deepen. Who truly owns the Earth and its resources?
