Dead Day Comic Adaptation Ordered Straight To Series By Julie Plec & Kevin Williamson
“Dead Day” follows numerous characters as they deal with the annual “dead day,” when the dead return to earth for one night to complete unfinished business – be it to celebrate a night back on earth or to torment the living.
As the Haskins prepare for the zombie debauchery, the comics, published by Aftershock Comics in 2020, follow an apparently normal suburban family.
“Dead Day combines an exciting, high-concept premise with relatable characters and real emotion,” NBCUniversal Television and Streaming president Lisa Katz said. “We jumped at the opportunity to work with Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson, who not only have tremendous individual track records with their high-quality storytelling, but have created magic together before.”
The comic was written by Ryan Parrott and illustrated by Evgeniy Bornyakov and published by Aftershock Comics in 2020.
