Tales Of The Walking Dead, AMC’s new Walking Dead spinoff, has announced the initial cast, including Terry Crews, Parker Posey, Anthony Edwards, Poppy Liu and Jillian Bell.
As well as these directors, Haifaa al-Mansour (Motherland), Deborah Kampmeier (Star Trek: Picard) and Tara Nicole Weyr (Bosch) will direct one episode, and Michael Satrazemis (The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead) will direct three episodes.
The new spin-off of AMC’s zombie phenomenon, Tales of the Walking Dead, will premiere with six one-hour episodes featuring new and existing characters.
In an interview with Deadline Gimple said. “Anthony, Jillian, Terry, Parker, and Poppy are the first wave of singular talents who will further expand the Walking Dead Universe into harrowing, hilarious, heartfelt, and horrifying new realms and we couldn’t be happier to welcome them to the family, along with these terrific directors. More announcements, more wonderful folks to come,”.
It will debut at the same time The Walking Dead’s 11th (and final) season ends. There’s no need for fans to worry, as The Walking Dead’s zombie world is continuing to expand, even as the show’s main storyline comes to an end.
It’s already been announced that there will be a Rick Grimes movie, a spin-off starring Darryl Dixon and Carol Peltier, as well as a series focusing on Neegan.
Summer 2022 will be the premiere date for Tales of the Walking Dead.
