Rick & Michonne: New The Walking Dead Show Pushed to 2024?!

After The Walking Dead concluded its 11-season run in November, AMC released a teaser trailer for the Rick & Michonne spin-off mini-series, stating that the show would premiere by the end of 2023. The plan for the new release has shifted. The production of Rick & Michonne is set to begin soon, although AMC has stated that the show would not debut until 2024 at the earliest.

It’s a truly exciting year for The Walking Dead Universe, as we conclude an epic journey on Fear the Walking Dead, which became one of the most successful shows in the history of cable television. And now we are set to bring forth the next iteration of the franchise — two new and anticipated series featuring the beloved characters of Maggie [Cohan], Negan [Morgan] and Daryl. Along with that we begin production on the next chapter in Rick and Michonne’s unforgettable love story, which we look forward to sharing next year. This next phase of our beloved Walking Dead franchise promises to engage and enthrall faithful viewers. Fans new and old will love seeing zombies walking across the Brooklyn Bridge, beneath the Eiffel Tower, inside the Louvre, and at dozens more exotic and iconic locations from around the country and world.

The first of AMC’s four upcoming Walking Dead series will premiere on May 14: the eighth and last season of Fear the Walking Dead. The Walking Dead: Dead City, starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan, will premiere in June, while The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, featuring Norman Reedus, will air later in the year.

During their July Comic-Con visit, Lincoln and Gurira dropped hints about their impending return to the The Walking Dead universe. They had planned for their show to premiere on AMC in 2023, but that date has now been pushed back. The show has yet to be given a name, but it will continue their saga of epic love as they are transported to a planet based on a war against the dead and, eventually, the living.
