New Resident Evil 2021 Where is Alice?

As the title states? Where is Alice ( cast historically by Milla Jovovich ), this time around the film studio is going to lean more on the game story line than ever before using the main character of Claire Redfield who will be portrayed by Kaya Scodelario, we will also see Jill Valentine acted by Hannah John-Kamen. But there will be no sign of Alice the historic main character from all the past big blockbuster Resident Evil films. While I do like that they are going to do this new take or remake of the video game based film I think that Alice even though she is not a character in the video games should have been incorporated in some capacity to help bridge the gap from past film fans to the nex-gen resident evil film fans.

We will also see Leon S. Kennedy and Chris Redfield take the stage cast by Avan Jogia and Robbie Amell, the film seems to have the core story line characters coming out the wood work, and while I hope the film is great I have a feeling that its going to be a mess as there will not be enough time to develop all of the characters only the die hard video game fans will know what is going on and who is who. Although it should be clear to everyone that Wesker starred by Tom Hopper is the bad guy.

So what do you think? Should they have integrated Alice even if just for a moment to do the hand off? I do.

And Milla Jovovich isn’t happy about the change either she has this to say to comicbook.com

They’ve announced a reboot? Okay, well good luck with that. I think a lot of people with these franchises kind of put the cart before the horse. There’s a danger to that. They’ve been wanting to reboot Resident Evil for a long time, and listen: I love the Resident Evil world. I think it’s a great property, I would do it if I was a producer. I think what made Resident Evil so special is that the people involved really loved what they’re doing and really were fans of the game.”

I would suggest that you find people that have that same passion for the property before you talk about reboots. I think if you get into this kind of genre, people are very sensitive to fakes. There’s some real fans in the sci-fi/action/horror world, and they’re not idiots. They can smell when something is done because people love it and when something is done just to monetize an opportunity.”
