A sixth Scream film was announced not long after the release of the fifth. According to reports, the future film will take place outside of Woodsboro, North Carolina, in New York City, where the main characters will face off against a new Ghostface.
Emma Roberts recently told Dread Central that she’d be open to returning to the series if the opportunity arose. When asked which horror franchise she’d most like to visit, Roberts responded. “Maybe I’d go back to Scream, I feel like I wasn’t done with Scream,”
Campbell will not be back, and David Arquette’s Dewey killed off , thus Cox will be the only original cast member to appear. Gale, on the other hand, may only get a little amount of screen time with the likes of Jenna Ortega, Melissa Barrera, Mason Gooding, and Jasmin Savoy Brown all returning.
This time around, Roberts would join fellow Scream 4 alum Hayden Panettiere, who would reprise her role as Kirby Reed for a March 31, 2023 release. That is, of course, if Roberts is asked back and the heavens connect sufficiently.
