Following the conclusion of this season of The Walking Dead, horror fans can look forward to a great year of television programming on the small screen in 2022. On the other hand, considering that every ending also ushers in a new beginning, the year 2023 will witness the launch of a huge number of horror-themed seasons and series for television and film. Crystal Lake
In this day and age of reboots and prequels, A24 has teamed up with Peacock to bring the new horror thriller Crystal Lake to the streaming service. Peacock is the production company behind the series. This comes close to 40 years after the movie Friday the 13th made news with the murderer Jason Voorhees donning a hockey mask in the film.
We don’t have a lot of information about the program other than the fact that it takes place before the events of Friday the 13th. Clearly it makes our Top 5 Horror Shows. It premieres twenty-six years after the franchise’s first effort at a series, which was a fantasy-horror program called Friday the 13th: The Series. In other words, the gap between the two is twenty-six years. This program did not have any visible connections to the films that came before it or to Jason.
Chucky Season 3
A Chucky television series starring Brad Douriff, the actor who created the role of Chucky in the films, debuted on Syfy quite a few years after the most recent installment in the Chucky film series was made available to the public.
