FREDDY’S NIGHTMARES Streaming on Screambox

Screambox has added Freddy’s Nightmares to its growing library of streaming horror material. The Nightmare on Elm Street anthology TV series, which has never been released on Blu-ray or DVD, makes its streaming debut.

Robert Englund as Freddy Krueger hosted all 44 episodes of the show, which aired for two seasons between 1988 and 1990. Eight of the stories, including the pilot, feature the iconic slasher as the antagonist. The first episode, directed by Tobe Hooper of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, serves as a prequel to the renowned franchise.

Brad Pitt, Kyle Chandler, Lori Petty, Clifton Collins Jr., Mariska Hargitay, Raymond Cruz, and Diane Franklin star alongside genre favorites Bill Moseley, Jeffrey Combs, Lar Park Lincoln, Tiffany Helm, and Dick Miller in Freddy’s Nightmares.

Screambox also has classics like Re-Animator and The Slumber Party Massacre, bingeable series like Masters of Horror and 13 Nights of Elvira, unique documentaries like Unearthed and Untold: The Path to Pet Sematary and Fulci for Fake, and exclusive movies like The Stairs and Not Alone, in addition to Freddy’s Nightmares.

Browse by genre – from slashers and discovered footage to anthologies and “just plain odd” – or peruse monthly picks from genre heavyweights, with February’s titles handpicked by filmmaker William Malone of House on Haunted Hill.
