Evan Peters Set to Play the ‘Milwaukee Cannibal’ Jeffrey Dahmer

The ‘Milwaukee Cannibal’ is coming to Netflix in a limited series co-created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan, with Evan Peters (American Horror Story) set to play the infamous killer.

The ten-episode limited series, titled ‘Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,’ tells the story of Dahmer from the perspective of his victims. The series will look at ten instances where Dahmer was almost caught by the police but managed to avoid being prosecuted.

It focuses on how Dahmer managed to get away with his crimes due to the racial discrimination of the Milwaukee Police Department at the time.

In a well-documented case, Konerak Sinthasomphone, one of Dahmer’s intended victims, managed to escape Dahmer’s apartment while he was out. Sinthasomphone was discovered wandering the streets naked and disorientated from the hydrochloric acid Dahmer had poured into his skull through a small hole he had drilled.

Dahmer managed to convince the police that arrived on the scene that the fourteen-year-old boy was his drunk boyfriend. The police returned the boy to Dahmer’s apartment despite the protest of three witnesses. The officers never bothered to investigate the matter further and simply left the boy in Dahmer’s care. Dahmer proceeded to kill Sinthasomphone with an additional shot of hydrochloric acid.

Along with Peters, Niecy Nash (Scream Queens), Shaun Brown (Future Man), Penelope Ann Miller (Carlito’s Way), and Colin Ford (Daybreak) are also set to appear in the series.

Nash will play Glenda Cleveland, the neighbor who called the police after her daughter and niece discovered Sinthasomphone wandering the streets; Brown will appear as Tracey Edwards, the intended victim of Dahmer who managed to escape and alert the police to his crimes; Penelope Ann Miller (Carlito’s Way) will play Joyce, Dahmer’s mother; Ford is said to be playing a character named Chaz.

They all join Richard Jenkins (The Shape of Water), who was previously announced to be playing Dahmer’s father, Lionel.
