Love it or hate it, The Class Of Nuke ‘Em High is here to stay forever its achieved cult status for many reasons, corny acting, over the top effects and the list goes on but one thing is for certain the movie stands up to the test of time and has spawned many sequels over the past three decades.

Class of Nuke’Em High was an instant hit when it was initially released in theatres in 1986. Audiences and critics alike praised the film’s unusual combination of horror and comedy. Two sequels followed, as well as legions of followers. The children at Tromaville High School, which is just a few miles from the local nuclear power plant, are becoming brighter. In fact, they’re starting to shine with a Troma-green hue. The Honor Society has mutated into carnivorous, kinky cretins, and the slimy monster haunting the corridors isn’t the principle!

So you didn’t see the movie? here is a rundown of what Class Of Nuke ‘Em High is about.

Class Of Nuke 'Em High Original Artwork

The story takes place in Tromaville High School in New Jersey, which is ideally positioned near to a nuclear power facility. The school’s clique, known as “The Cretins,” distributes narcotics among the kids. They collect leaves from a radioactive marijuana plant in the nuclear facility’s yard and sell them to Eddie for $10. He smokes it with his buddies Warren and Chrissy during a party. They both had hallucinations that night. Chrissy learns she’s expecting a child and spits a little creature into a neighboring toilet.

The organism mutates into a larger beast after travelling through the water pipes and landing in a barrel loaded with radioactive waste. Warren, on the other hand, possesses superhuman strength and kills two Cretins. The rebel band seizes control of the school and begins destroying it, kidnapping Chrissy and transporting her to the basement. Warren enters the school to help her, but instead finds the adult monster, who slaughters all of The Cretins. Warren ultimately kills the beast with a laser he discovered in the physics lab, and he and Chrissy flee the school as the creature and the school explode. The movie concludes with a shot of the monstrous “baby” wriggling amid the wreckage of the school.

Honestly this is one of my favorite films, its genre is that of its own and has the same taste as the Toxic Avenger made with the same grit, even some of the same actors from the original Toxic Avenger are in Class Of Nuke ‘Em High, surprisingly they are also villain’s from toxie in this one. You may also be interested in Tromas War another classic.

Class of Nuke ‘Em High 2: Subhumanoid Meltdown was released in 1991, while Class of Nuke ‘Em High 3: The Good, the Bad, and the Subhumanoid was released in 1994. In 2000, a fourth film was announced, but it never made it past the pre-production stage.

I highly suggest you take time to see this film if you have never seen it before it deserves your watch even just once.
