Amount of time people spent watching ‘DAHMER’ on Netflix in its first two months surpassed 1 billion hours.

Netflix’s Dahmer-Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story has been a smashing success. According to a report on Deadline, the show has been viewed for over a billion hours in its first 60 days online.

Dahmer: Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story is a Ryan Murphy-helmed series that has earned an 84% audience rating on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes so far.

The show is a dramatization of the real-life crimes committed by Dahmer, often known as the “Milwaukee Cannibal,” between 1978 and 1991 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dahmer murdered seventeen men and boys.

Dahmer, created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan, is now the second most watched original Netflix series in English after Stranger Things Season 4. Squid Game, a South Korean variety show, is the streamer’s biggest hit.

Due to the success of the Monster film series, Netflix has commissioned two more films in the series. In spite of the lack of information, it has been stated that these new series will focus on the lives of “other horrific characters who have impacted society.”

The Dahmer series, starring Evan Peters, explores the negligence and cynicism that enabled the legendary serial killer to proceed on his extended killing rampage, and is mostly portrayed from the perspective of the victims.

Other notable actors and actresses featured in the show include Niecy Nash, Richard Jenkins, Molly Ringwald, and Michael Learned.
