A Poster for the 10th Season of American Horror Story Has Been Revealed

AHS series creator Ryan Murphy revealed the first poster for the delayed tenth season of ‘American Horror Story’, giving fans another clue into this season’s theme.

The poster features an open mouth with razor-sharp teeth, a gloved hand holding a tattoo gun, and the words “AHS 10” tattooed across the tongue. No caption was provided with the image, but a location of Provincetown, Massachusetts is given, possibly providing a clue for the setting of this season.

Murphy has always made a point of keeping the overall theme a secret, dropping casual hints along the way. This poster is just another in a series of clues dropped by Murphy.

Let’s take a look at all the clues provided so far.

In March of this year, Murphy posted an image on Instagram of dirty hands coming over an embankment, with the ocean in the background and the caption “Things are beginning to wash up on shore…”

Just a couple of months later, Murphy posted another photo on Instagram, this time an image of tangled fencing on a beach with the caption “clue”. Adding further evidence that the theme would be related to the ocean.

Next Murphy posted a photo of sharp teeth that he also identified as being a “clue”. Along with the announcement that filming would start in October 2020.

In June, a short 47-second teaser trailer of a man standing on a lighthouse looking into what we can only assume is the ocean, solidified our speculations that the theme revolved around the water.

Although the exact theme of the season is still uncertain, what isn’t is who will be appearing/returning for this season. The official announcement came in February of this year when Murphy posted a video of the cast list to the backdrop of a beach. Among the names were returning stars; Kathy Bates, Leslie Grossman, Billie Lourd, Adina Porter, Lily Rabe, Angelica Ross, and Finn Wittrock.

The big announcement was the return of stars Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson, who were both absent from season 9, marking the first season since the show’s creation that they didn’t have some part of.

The new name on the list was ‘Home Alone’ star Macaulay Culkin. Murphy revealed in an interview with E! News that he convinced Culkin to join the show by telling him his character would have “crazy, erotic sex with Kathy Bates”. He added that Culkin responded with “This sounds like the role I was born to play” and signed on right there.

Despite Murphy’s post about filming commencing in October, there has been no official word that filming on the tenth season has started. Horrorfacts will be certain to keep you informed as new information surfaces.
